The Upper Saddle River Democratic County Committee and the USR Dems Club are actively seeking two qualified candidates to run for Town Council seats in the November 2018 election.
Upper Saddle River has a long history of uncontested, single-party elections, leaving residents without a choice on who will best represent our community. To ensure strong leadership, timely communication and the highest degree of transparency in our local government, we need new and alternative points of view on our Council. This won’t happen as long as the incumbents continue to run unopposed.
Running for office is one of the best ways to contribute to our wonderful community. You don’t have to be a political “insider” in order to qualify and previous political experience is definitely not a prerequisite to run. If you are well-informed on the issues facing our town, are committed, have the time to serve, and are passionate about keeping Upper Saddle River the desirable community it has always been, you already have many of the qualifications to get started.
Please fill out the form to the right or email firstname.lastname@example.org directly if you have an interest in running for one of the two seats. If you’ve ever thought about a run but are unsure, please reach out. Both candidates will receive support and training from the Committee and the USR Dems. We encourage all to apply. The County Committee will be interviewing potential candidates throughout February until March 15th. We will make endorsements shortly thereafter.
Use the form below to contact us around topics that we should address. Please be as detailed as possible. You may also email or call us.
